Eureka , getting found on the lost coast

Decided to show a few locations about town here in good old Eureka. try out my eye for local color and practice capturing the essense of the places I visit.

Entrance to OldTown

The back side of the Arkley center is one of the best of the many murals that cover much of old town. this is an area of contrasting cultureswith the influence of HSU and the Emerald triangle bumping up against the old culture of resource exploitation.

Depending on your location your community may or may not have been invaded by Starbucks. The ultimate symbol of yuppie culture and when you are in the east the only place to get a decent hot beverage. But here in the west we actualy have the type of cafe that the whorebucks crowd homoginized into the hangout for douchebags that they are.
